Summary
The Olperer hut and the hike is a classic. Here you will likely meet a few more people. The views in southern direction are stunning and the food up there is good. If you take the direct route, you will need good shoes and some condition to go up.
Description
The
trail to the Olperer Hut is one of the most stunning and beautiful ones I have ever seen.
You will often walk over rocks and also in smallk water streams. Good shoes is a must. The trail is steep if you choose the direct route, which we did, but there are alternative options. This hike is all about amazing views. The Olperer Hütte offers reasonable priced local food.
What is special about this place
We
had no idea that we walk in a deep green forrest towards Hintertux and
we had no idea how many waterfalls this area has. It is like water comes
out of every rock. We saw marmots and a small snake. The nature
experience was amazing on this hike.

It is almost unbelievable how different everythings looks just on the other side.The other side of this mountain is the skiarea Hintertux. If you have more time, it is possible to walk towards the Friesenberghaus.

Where is it and how to get there?
From Ginzling we took the bus to the Schlegeis dam and started walking from there. After a few hundred meters walking next to the lake, there signs in direction of the Olperer hut. Just follow them.
